I am a fan of the bodyscape type image, it always shows the body as a very sculptural form, highlighting the structure and musculature especially in the male nude. I have posed Bert in this image with a variety of tensions throughout his musculature and in common with many of my images of people there is a strong gaze directly into the lens which helps to couple the viewer with the model.
I like to show this definite confidence in the model when shooting nudes almost as the antithesis to the "exploitative" accusations which often accompany the nude image from its decriers. I am always astonished at the ire that the nude image can invoke in some people, quite unnecessarily. In this cae, it was Bert who sought me out to have these images made and he and his husband certainly enjoyed the session and even more so the images that they received afterwards!
I don't know about you, but quite frankly I don't need the moralisers thinking for me ... I am quite capable of deciding for myself if I want to see a particular image!
I hope that you agree with me that this is a beautiful image of a beautiful guy which exudes confidence and power.
